WESTON LAWNS DRESSAGE
2025 CAMPAIGN PLANS

It was a tremendous year for Weston Lawns Dressage meaning 2025 will be bigger and better than ever!

2024 was a great one for Weston Lawns Dressage riders. With so much success in regional and national competitions, we are looking forward to an even bigger and better 2025!

Our riders have shown that they have what it takes to compete at the top level, and we can't wait to see what they will achieve next.

Keri Bates, who is the mastermind behind Weston Lawns Dressage events takes up the story. "With my shows, something EKKO is well known for, is being supportive and caring. And the feedback we have had from my shows so far reflects this which is fabulous.

"2024 was a major success because people feel comfortable to have a go at the next level up or have a go at their first show. The standard of participation across all beginner, intermediate or experienced participants has improved and we take a lot of pride in that"

"In the coming year we have a lot of plans for Weston Lawns Dressage and I am excited to reveal we will be running from intro through to FEI levels so there is something for everyone.

"The TOP 15 combinations who have the most points in each level will be invited to the championship final in August. The combination with the most points at the end of this show is crowned champion of that level. There will also be an extra prize for the winner of the championship classes on the day.

"The aim of this series is to provide riders with a championship to aim for without the hefty price tag of membership! And also to have some fun with friends!!

"Our series in 2025 is a great starting place! Riders earn points at all of our events based on their % and the top 15 riders from each level will be invited to the finals in August.

Dressage points series rules

All competitions will be run under British Dressage rules with regards to tack and equipment and also horse/rider eligibility for that level. We will, However, be allowing bitless bridles for all of our shows.

Riders who are classed as “gold” section within British Dressage will be put into the open section. Your BD record will be checked upon entry.

Qualifying will run between January and July 2025 and points can be gained at ANY Weston Lawns dressage competitions as well as ANY Ekko Equestrian events (including online).

Points will be awarded based on your % and will be added to the WL website so you can keep an eye on your progress. We will be running intro – FEI level. The points allocation chart is as follows:

60-61.99% = 1 point

62-63.99% = 2 points

64-65.99% = 3 points

66-67.99% = 4 points

68-69.99% = 5 points

70-71.99% = 6 points

72-73.99% = 7 points

74-75.99% = 8 points

And so on....

The top 15 combinations will be invited to ride at the finals held on 11th – 13th August 2025.

If any of the top 15 riders are unable to attend, the invitation will be passed on to riders outside of the top 15.

The overall points winner of each level will be asked to ride in the open section for the following year if they wish to compete at the same level again. If won for 2 years running the rider will be asked to move up a level. The winner of each level will receive a sash, extra-large rosette and prizes. They will also feature in our news blog on the WL website.

12 monthly vaccinations are required for the horses and will be checked at random at competitions.

We will be running under BD guidelines with regards to tack! But we do allow bitless riders.

Schedules for these shows will be released in the coming weeks so keep your eyes peeled!
